A Trio of Webinars on how Self Employment could help your Customers and your Bottom Line

You’re invited … To participate in one, two, or all three Go-To-Meeting Webinars

Target audience:  People who serve those with mental health disabilities, especially Community Mental Health Centers, Benefits Liaisons, case managers, disability advocates, peer specialists, supported community living providers, provider associations, psychologists, social workers, & other providers. Please do cross-post as appropriate.

Dates & Topics:        

April 23 (Monday), 1:00-3:00 p.m., The Possibilities of Self-Employment for Your Customers. Learn about self-employment as a viable self-sufficiency strategy and employment’s potential to reduce mental health symptoms. Presenter: Molly Sullivan.

June 25 (Monday), 1:00-3:00 p.m., Using Benefits to Achieve Self-Employment.  Learn about SSA benefits & work Incentives like Plan to Achieve Self Support (PASS), Property Essential to Achieve Self Support (PESS), and Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) that work for entrepreneurs with disabilities. Presenter: Beth Keeton.

Aug 13 (Monday), 1:00-3:00 p.m., Becoming an Employment Network: how Ticket to Work can be a viable funding stream. Presenter: Mary Lynn Revoir.

Who’s presenting: Molly Sullivan and Beth Keeton with Griffin-Hammis Associates are national experts on self-employment for people with disabilities; Mary Lynn Revoir is a senior account manager with Maximus, implementing the SSA’s Ticket to Work program. They will be joined by Iowa WIPAs[i] Sheila Stoeckel and Suzanne Paulson.
